Whenever you create a new program LK-DMIS automatically includes and executes the commands found in the template file.

You can use this file to set up all the conditions you need to have in place when writing a program. Typically, users are setting the following:

Program Units UNITS
Sensor Definitions SNSDEF
Sensor Settings SNSET
Tolerances TOL

In LK-DMIS V4.nnn (i.e. the 16-bit version) you can only have one template file. In the 32-bit version (LK-DMIS V5.nnn) you can now create more than one template and choose from a list when creating a new program. This would allow you to create templates for INCH programs or METRIC programs without the need for editing the values or to create templates for different components.
