The software WinWedge 32 Pro v3.0 is used with Windows 95 and NT. The software is owned by TAL technologies, Inc. Telephone number 215-763-5096.

We purchased ours from a company called CTS. Call 612-383-4283 and ask for Charlie.
He is an excellent source of information and has helped our company our tremendously.

We use the Wedge to export measurement results from our CMM and our Optical Compartor. I have the CMM running out of COM1 and the Optic running out of COM2. You can hook up as many measuring devices as you have COM Ports. These ports are located in the back of your computer(CPU) that has the WinWedge installed on. Additional serial COM Ports can be added by your PC support people. Any type of device with a serial interface whose output data is transmitted in a structured ASCII form can be used with Wedge.

The results are dumped into an excel spreadsheet that has been previously calculated to find such things as; true position at MMC, distance from datum in the X,Y or Z and whether a dimension is in spec. or out.

I hope to add a vision system and calipers to our WinWedge capabilities.
