Your question is almost the same as "Job to do" by Larry Fuller, dated Nov. 8.
If you are still interested in purchasing a CMM, you might check the 2 files I have posted in "Job to do". The first one is a document titled "How to select a CMM - A short buyers guide", the other one is a Xcel sheet to calculate the ration "tolerance to uncertainty", based on your drawing requirements.
