Matt, are you suggesting the actual standard for reading. Though a great reference for those who wish to apply and understand G.D.& T, it may be a bit much on a beginner in the subject. Don't get me wrong, it's the best book on the subject, a little dry for reading though.
Ramprasad, I would strongly suggest the book that Matt has, though you may want to purchase some learning materials along with it. Lowell W. Foster has several books on the subject. I suggest GEO-METRICS 3 and it's accompanying work books. Keep the ASME Y14.5M-1994 close buy for reference and examples. No matter what though, buy the standard that was suggested in the previous message, it's a must have.
