I am using a Leitz machine and QUINDOS to inspect blades, vanes, stators, nozzles, etc. Is anyone doing the same thing? Maybe we can share some tips, techniques or experience. I have been using QUINDOS blade module but I also have many procedures of my own.

I am also working on a project for school that will explain how to measure airfoils on a CMM. It explains from importing nominal profile data from the CAD system (in my case Pro/E) to choosing probes, scanning parameters, holding devices, etc. Then it describes how to analyze the airfoil to obtain all its dimensions, thickness and angles. Finally it explains how to export the actual point data to reverse engineer the airfoil.

The idea is that the project will serve as a resource manual for my company as well as a research project for my degree in manufacturing engineering. So any information about airfoils and CMMs would be greatly appreciated.
