While we are speaking of scanning and different heads, I have a question. I have used a Renishaw wrist from the outset and love the flexibility that it offers in programming, etc. I have an opportunity to work on a Zeiss Vast system but I am a little nervous about leaving behind the indexing of my PH10.

Does anyone that has made this move have any opinions to offer regarding the pros and cons of index vs. fixed probing systems? What adjustments (to mindset, technique, etc.) did you have to make for this to be successful? I have some thoughts of my own but would like to hear from experience as well.
