We have a lot of experience manufacturing cylinder probes. They are difficult to assemble without some loss of perpendicularity, although .05 mm over 10 mm exceeds our assembly tolerance.

The caveat is, of course, that cylinder probes are typically used in applications that don't require highest accuracies, e.g. formed and stamped sheet metal parts. The probe manufacturer's tolerances generally reflect this requirement.

Should tighter tolerances be needed, the probe manufacturer should be consulted. In some cases it is possible to re-machine the base after the cylinder is bonded, to bring the perpendicularity almost dead true.
