We are in the process of purchasing 2 CMM's from International Metrology Systems (IMS) using their software, Virtual DMIS. Although we have had Silma for almost 2 years, we have not utilized it because the CMMs we were planning to purchase 2 years ago have continuously been cut from the budget.

I would like to hear from people that may have experience using both softwares. Virtual DMIS looks like it may have everything we need to program but I need to know what advantages/disadvantages CimStation Inspection has over Virtual DMIS and vise versa. I would like to stick with one software, if possible, so that there is no translation problems. As you can tell, I am new at this and any help will be greatly appreciated.
