We use a scroll chuck for a lathe. We purchased it out of Grainger for $190. We then made 2 different style of delrin jaws to clamp the parts, and a base so we can secure it to the cmm table. We have one of these for each of our 6 CMM's and a couple of our suppliers use them as well. Also Paul Marino sells these type of holding fixtures as well. If you would like more information, don't hesitate to contact me.
