George is correct, it is a hole, sorry for the poor definition. I believe the problem lies with in the lengths. I posed the same questions on the Zeiss forum and haven't seen a posting in reply from any one that would suggest different. Thank you for your help. any further replies that may put a different spin on this are welcome.
