We have a 2 year old Prismo Vast, last month we had to replace the following.

Y- Drive - was making a noise that Zeiss felt would lead to faluire. (New Drive)

Vast Head - Broken spring (New Head installed & New boards)

Control box and cable - After the install of the new Head we were receiving many error messages that Zeiss felt were being produced by the control box? (New Control box & cable installed)

What has been your experience with this machine & reliability?

When running it is very accurate and repeatable.

However the Zeiss service is poor and i am not happy about spending a large amount of money on this machine in a short period of time. Luckily Zeiss does give a small credit for the return of the old parts.

Is my experience with Zeiss a one off or have any other users experienced these issues.
