Yes you can create an offset plane using any three points, but be aware there are problems with this function. First there is a known 'bug' with MMX 6.0 that has been fixed with 6.02 relating to offset plane's,and lines. Second offset planes were deigned for 'planar' offset planes, if you are trying to construct an offset plane on a surface it will not build it correctly because the individual point vectors are not the same. You would be better off building a simple plane through these points and offsetting it to the correct angle.
