Cadpath will read most entity types. It is a bit finicky reading some files. I have ran into several problems with CP reading certain files. Most of this is taken care of by deleting everything but surfaces before the translation. Also Cadpath has the ability to open several files and save them as one. Cadpath does a great job a creating points and vectors acurately but you have to keep an eye on the path that it creates.
