We are purchasing 2 CMMs soon and need to create acceptance criteria when these machines are brought to our facility. The 2 CMMs are identical and our tightest tolerance is +/- .001". I want to do a runoff before it arrives in our facility and after it is installed. What are appropriate runoff tests and what are acceptable results?

Also, what does some of the standard tests (CMMA, B89, VDI/VDE, etc.) give for results? Are the results subjective? (Just a comment I think I heard sometime) Are these tests appropriate for acceptance criteria?

I know that these questions are VERY open-ended and subject to personal opinion, but I would like to hear some comments from experienced users.
