Our company obtained a Sheffield DCC CMM equipped with the Direct Inspect software package, running in the OS2 environment.

We are finding the software difficult to use. A lack of documentation is a real hindrance. None of us are experienced with programming DCC machines, so its been tough and slow going learning the system. Editing programs has been especially difficult.

We are thinking of purchasing a new software to replace the Direct Inspect. Noting our lack of expertise in programming DCC machines, we are wondering if the expenditure would be worthwhile. Are the newer systems more user friendly? We need off line programming capability.
