Support Quality Assurance Direct Numerical Control Coordinate Measurement Machine (DNCCMM) Inspection Program development. Requires familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing practices and strong computing skills. Will require the use of design engineering 3D solid models and a graphical interface software to identify product features to be measured by the CMM to verify conformance to design requirements. Experience with SILMA CimStation Inspection software would be a plus but could be obtained on the job by an individual with adequate computing background. Could be called upon as needed to support general organizational computing tasks such as database management, web site development and maintenance or metrics data collection and reporting.
General Position Description
Investigate and resolve more involved fabrication problems and discrepancies and to coordinate inspection operations and requirements. Requires knowledge of missile structures, functional systems, equipment, manufacturing and assembly methods and processes, shop practices and strength of materials. Familiarity with dynamics, applied mechanics and quality control methods as well as with the use of precision measuring instruments.
