What version of KUM do you have? I have some experience with KUM on the older UMESS 300 systems. If you can generate a VDA file for your nominal curve you can have the CMM scan to the file data. KUM is capable of processing nominal curves for standard geometry (circles, spheres) but for what you are using you really need the CAD information. I have a training manual from Zeiss for KUM and it worked well for most of my applications. Drop me an email at eabryce@sandia.gov and I will see what I can do to help you.
