The version 3.3 you received fixed the "cumulative" bug in the AP command (with more than 40 points). I assume you were using more than 40 points and that this version has fixed that bug.
The "cannot fit a unique plane" was not known to LK at that time. It is a very different problem even though it is with the same command.
A large software package such as Cmes will never be 100% bug free, take Microsoft products for example. Every release of Cmes contains enhancements, as well as bug fixes. Therefore it would seem unrealistic to expect a software company to provide free upgrades for the complete life cycle of that software product. Typically, a usable work around is provided, where possible, by a software company. I have had several such dialogs with Microsoft over "bugs" with their compilers and operating systems. In each case I have had to implement a work around, or just live with the problem.
