I just did an experiment by turning probe compensation off in the program and the numbers are now correct. The default setting was on. My dimension is for a line to a plane where the line is 2.000 inches in "Z" above the plane. IE a 2 inch jo block on top of the granite. I also verified that the workplane was set to zplus (per B&S aftermarket services instructions) . I am still confused...
