Today we had success. The problem seems to be in using a 2d feature IE line to a plane. When I set the workplane to yplus, the probe comp was done correctly and the numbers come out good. The B&S guy told me the workplane is like using an optical comparitor, you have to be looking perpendicular to the two surfaces you are trying to measure across. He also said that position is less dangerous than using dimension when using 2d features.

I need to read up on workplane to know what I am talking about. At any rate, thanks for your help.
