Jeff, I use USOFT quite often and elect to not use use clearing planes at all. Is seems easier to me to leave Auto Position set to Radial Only and use Position points for move between features. You can do both. If in your program you set the auto position points to off or radial, it should negate you clearing plane and then you can use position points to make the required moves.
