I am a user of many CMMs (Leitz,Cordax,B&S,Zeiss,LK,IMS,Mitutoyo,DEA...). CMM purchase would depending on the geometry, tolerances(accuracy), running conditions(lab vs. shopfloor),speed, and even user experience. No one CMM is manufactured to do everything. We just purchased a LK G90C for our automotive line, and in my experience the software (LK-DMIS) is just about the best I have ever programmed. Shortly after the purchase my company retrofitted two of our Cordax CMM(RS-150 and 1808). I am in the process of re-programming a cylinder head for Navistar International in LK-DMIS... before I programmed it in Sheffnet(FLB) and including all the operations and stations-it took me about 3 months. With LK-DMIS... in 4 weeks I am almost done. For a production type CMM-I would not leave LK out of your CMM comparison.
