The Trane Company, a worldwide manufacturer of air conditioning and building management equipment and systems, has an immediate opening located in La Crosse, Wisconsin.

Responsible for overall coordination of the coordinate measuring machine and metrology lab activities and quality engineering support for metrology activities. Duties include: Supervision of hourly CMM and metrology lab inspectors; Maintenance of approved supplier list for gauging; Coordination of capital expenditure requests for Quality Assurance; Participation in training and implementation of quality tools; e.g., FMEA, SPC, etc. and development project teams as quality representative.

BS or MS degree in engineering or technology and 1 year experience required; metrology degree/experience preferred. BS degree with CQE certification will be considered in lieu of an engineering degree. Must have basic understanding of ISO type quality systems and ability to apply manufacturing techniques, strong PC Skills, with knowledge of computer based design tools preferred. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills with ability to supervise and coach and work in a team environment required.
