I have been writing some Visual Basic applications that convert VDA to QUINDOS and QUINDOS to IBL and to CSV (comma separated values). All these file types are ASCII. I have done this to bring point clouds from the CMM to the CAD system (Pro/E). If what you need is to convert point data, send me an example of your ASCII points and I let you know if I can modify one of my applications to work for you.
