Hello Everyone!
Speaking about standards (related to "New ideas" posting): is there a standard way to get CMM data from the outside world (from another computer on the network)? I need CMM measurement values to compare them with similar values from other measurement systems.
The only way I know is to program CMM to write an export file. Then I can parse this file and get data.
Can I use DMIS to get CMM data? Does any CMM support DMIS?
Supposedly there is a standard to access any industrial data, OPC (OLE for Process Control) http://www.opcfoundation.org. Did anyone in CMM world hear about it?
