I do not know how applicable this is because we are running U-Soft and we can not network because of the DOS environment.

With that said. We set up a secondary computer with a switch for the keyboard
and monitor (both computers share to save money). This computer is Windows NT enabled and networked. We send data from the CMM computer to the networked computer using a null modem cable linked to the serial ports. We had to use Winwedge to interface with Excel. We also use Infinty QS which does not require a intermediary software. My guess is that your statistics software should be able to do the same for you.
