Shane,

I visited the web site for Checkmate yesterday and your right, we aren't in the market for another programming tool. Programming isn't the problem. I have also downloaded a trial version of 3DView, but haven't tried it yet.

Yes we have utilized the 'display cmm output' feature of CimStation. We have found this feature to be useful for many situations and it is in fact one of my favorite visualization tools.

Our current method of creating roadmaps is to rotate the part in cimstation and save jpegs showing multiple views (both close up views and orientation views) of the part with the 'display feature' and 'label feature' options turned on. We can selectively remove unwanted or clutter points by using the edit world 'visibility' option. These various views are then printed and assembled as a package. The entire process is cumbersome and less than satisfying. I still believe there must be a better way.

I understand that Silma is in fact working on possible enhancements to CimStation that will alleviate some of the problem.

Best Regards,
Joe Corrado
