Gentlemen,
I use TP7s, and I have resently experienced some troubles trying to probe in the -Z direction. Renishaw's documentation tells me that this is a 6-way touch probe. I am using a star probe w/ the stylus pointing in the +Z direction (upward) and the probe head at (A90,B180) to probe a circle.(3) out of the (4) touchs seem to work fine, that (1) touch that the TP7 is probing in the -Z direction (where the probing direction is directly away from the touch probe) seems to be triggering in the +Y direction (downward) making the positioning of the hole inaccurate. I re-programmed the CMM to only probe in the other (3) touchs and everything works fine. Is this a miss print by Renishaw about the (6-way) touch probe? My TP20 (5-way) do the same thing as the TP7 (6-way), and the TP200 do a very good job at this.

Thank you,
