I did found away around this problem by probing only half of the hole staying away from the area that requires probing in the
-Z direction. The position accurately compares w/ other forms of measurement. But when I probe in the -Z direction there is as much as .015" difference, and could not get any repeatibility. This goes against what Renishaw advertises about TP7 touch probes.
I am only using a stylus of about 30mm in length (tip of TP7 to ruby ball).
