I have to agree with Ray. I have never seen a document like that either. I have heard rumors that University of North Carolina and NIST are working on it but it may just be a rumor. I'm sure that there is a PhD thesis in there somewhere.

It seems like when ever you get more that two CMM people in the same room the subject comes up and everyone seems to have a story about how they over probed or under probed a part and got bit. It comes down to experience. Not only do you need to take the minimum points to construct a feature but you have to take enough and in the right places to insure that you get the form right.
