Regardless of the CMM you have it's all in the software. If you want to grab hold of the power of Off-Line CAD/CMM Programming then please read on. CMM companies make CMM's and they do that well. However, their software is lacking when it comes to programming time and report generation. Here is all you need...The offline programming software "CheckMate" from Origin International and the reporting software from DIS Inc., get them installed on a separate PC other than your CMM's computer. First of all you don't have to be a CAD expert to use CheckMate. It is very user friendly, windows based icons etc. If you can use MS Excel or MS Word you can use CheckMate. Accurate? You bet it is and fast! At CheckMate, they boast that you can construct an alignment on a watermelon! I've been in this business for 12 years, long enough to know what works and what does not. Consequently, I strongly suggest you just buy the software. There really is no comparison. CheckMate having it's own reporting features but combined with the reporting power of DIS is all you really need.
