I would like to note for the record:
With my 'importation of cad data' post, it was not my intention to voice an attack against the Virtual DMIS software -- to do so on an open board that has been put into place to help people is 'sophomoric', and does not belong here.
I was merely trying to see if there was a possible solution to the problem
I was encountering. So far however I have not been able to find an answer to the problem. I have been in touch with the IMS tech support several times (they have been excellent), but this one issue seems to be a stumper for all parties involved. It should also be noted that this was only with ONE particular iges file. Other files have been translated and used successfully.
Aside from this, Virtual DMIS (though not perfect) is quite good and, given IMS's overt strive for customer satisfaction and continuous improvement, is a definite bargain in cmm software.
