Has anyone had any previous experience with what our Quality technician calls "mid-air collisions" in which the probe head is moving along then just stops.

CMM is a Model 550 Eclipse with a ST-1 probe head. CMM is just over 1 year old.

We have adjusted the sensitivity on a regular basis. The problem is not consistent (comes and goes).
