As Tom wrote the FLB import utility does not help much unless the programs were written using only 'canned' functions. The VAL basic function was used to ensure a valid number is being sent or used by 'something'. We have hundreds of old FLB/OFI programs, that use alot of Data statements and variable storage. You do not need the VAL function you can do a find and replace it with nothing. It should work, but there will be most likely alot more to modify for it to be able to work. When we had our Cmm's converted from FLB I had G&L setup a dual system that can run either MMX or FLB. Then eventually was able to rewrite the needed programs. Hope this helps.
