Bill,
The feature control frame that calls for
a profile of 1.0 mm does indeed specify that
the "tolerance zone" is -/+ .5mm. It states
that the form/surface area should fall within
these limits. But,if you were checking a surface with a profile of 1.0mm to /A/B/C, then these points should be reported "individually" back to the Datum setup. If you have a profile of a
surface that "does not" have datum modifiers
(profile 1.0), then this would be reported as
a single profile zone. PCDMIS allows for profiles to be reported as "profile error" of
a scan or set of points.
