I also have software which has the same capability, but these points are ultimately used to calculate the overall profile result. Since the profile result does not specify a direction (polarity), the maximum deviation from nominal must be multiplied by two in order to illustrate the amount of tolerance zone which has been used by the feature. While I do agree that the separate point data should accompany the profile result, I don't agree that the series of point deviations are the profile result.

I hope nobody takes any of these discussions personaly, I think it's a great forum to talk about issues just like this and I enjoy seeing other views, even if I don't agree.
