If anyone is looking for a new CMM it is my opinion that you should consider looking at a Coord3 machine. I have experience using several models from the very small manual or dcc to the large (2.5 x 2.5 x 1.8) dcc gantry. All of the machines have performed very well in my opinion. I have 2 dcc Coord3 machines now, the gantry mentioned above which is a year old and one of the smoothest machines I have ever used, and a small bridge (Ares 1000mm x 500mm x 300mm) which is also a very nice machine. I have been using CMM's since 1985, including 4.5 years doing application/installation work for a company that sells retrofit software. This has given me access to many types of CMM's and the Coord3 machines are very nice.
