In response to your question about the "random wild points", does that refer to the points it takes as you move the machine? If so, it;s the damping and they are from thevibration of the machine. We just had the same problem on a B&S 200 and the Renishaw rep told us to short two pins on the PICS connector on the tp200 control box. I don;t remember which two pins it was but I'm sure if you contact your Renishaw rep he(or she) can help you. I'll check my notes to see which two it was and let you know.
