Looking thru ASME I found a diagram that I think makes my point it is fig. 5-17 on page 94, I have attached a scanned copy of the page for those who do not have a copy of ASME Y14.5M-1994 so that they can make any comments that they may like.
Geoff, Duane: I think it would be great if we would get some input from the CMM manufactures also, so that we could get there thoughts on this issue
