You should get the same life as a new 200.
If you are having problems you should try cleaning all the contacts first.
There is a small chance that the one you have is failing prematurely, I guess.
One important point:
You need to be very carful when handling the module , DON'T twist it or tap it at all. Just remember it is made for extremely precise work and should be treated as such.
