Took the GDTP Senior level exam the first time it was offered. Working with GD&T since the early 80's, numerous courses & seminars under my belt - including the ASME GDTP prep course - figured Senior level for sure, right?

Well, Tony's right about word-for-word memorization of the standard. While the prep course & the ASME literature expressed that "practical understanding" of the standard was the criteria, I felt that rote memorization and navigation of trick questions was essential to passing. Needless to say, I flunked and have never tried again since. Looking at the info at ASME's site (referenced above), I may try again once the new program is up and running.
