I am looking for input on the following Drawing. The primary Co-Datum is Datum A-B taken from to diameter on each end of the part. I have measured both Datum A and Datum B and constructed a line between them. I then level the line and set Y&Z to this line. I am setting X to the face of the flange. As you can see in the drawing the secondary Datum is Datum F which is not on a normal axis. How would you suggest inspecting this part. I have done it several ways and am just looking for input to maybe improve my methods. The boss on the part is called to be True Position within .002 with MMC to Datum A-B C. There has be some controversy on the way to inspect the part. Any suggestion would be appreciated. Thanks, Ron Neal CMM Programming
