Reviewed proposed products and fabrication processes for the purpose of avoiding or eliminating unnecessary quality difficulties. Recommended changes to component drawings to improve manufacturability, reduced cost and complexity, and ensured compliance to standards. Performed vendor capability studies to ensure quality requirements and standards were met. Rated parts based on complexibility and assisted purchasing in placing orders with suppliers having the appropriate capability to perform the required activity, and worked with purchasing to start and maintain a dock to stock program with qualified suppliers.
