Imagine that I have an assembly or a part with groups of features that have been defined and measured relative to separated coordinate systems for each group for the convenience of the programmer. The program has been written and run, measuring all of the features. Now, along comes the part owner who picks one of the previous coordinate systems or yet another arbitrary coordinate systems, and says he wants all of the nominals and actuals output relative to the one selected. Can I do it without re-measuring anything? If not, are there any rules I could have followed to minimize the rework? Don Laib Boeing
