As the replies from other forum users indicate this an application problem and not a specification issue.
As one user explained this is a feature of Virtual DMIS and there is a similar feature in LK-DMIS. If you have inspected a part, you can run the program again in Report mode. This mode, allows you make changes to the program, i.e. report to a different datum, change nominals or tolerances or do anything with existing features. The program in Report mode works only with the existing touch data.
Note, the DMIS output file if used correctly will create a text file that contains all the feature nominals, actuals, tolerance nominals and actuals, datum transformations and feature touch data. From this it is possible to create applications that can re-evaluate the measured data in any manner required.
