Dean, I posed a similar question comparing the two arms about a month or two ago, there are a few responses if you backtrack a bit. I have heard good things about both arms, the only bad things I have heard are from competing salesmen but I don't listen to those opinions. I have recently purchased a Faro 8' Gold and will receive it in about a week. I'll be putting it through some tests of my own and will let you know how it turns out.
