I wanted to reply yesterday but was in an hurry to leave work.... we all know how Friday's are.

I will agree with Norman's last post. The primary datum should be identified as datum targets A1 thru A4. The secondary datum should be the diameter, and your tertiary should be the slot.

Floating datums??? The secondary datum is as measured, with the exception of a TP FCF and all the specifies is that the hole is square to the primary (same as perp). Is there no control over the trim lines or other form features of the stamping?

As far as the gage goes, I agree with Norman also except that the tertiary datum is allowed MMC as that is what is called out in the FCF on the drawing.
