Surface Analysis thing sounds intersting, I will play with some measurements from our manual machine. I ended up writing three segments, that at least allows me to output desired segments when required. In segment 1) I measured trim profile of part. I then copied that segment to segment #2 and inverted the trim measurements, played with the STEPBACK and Material settings, I found the Adjust CAD/MAT command to move the measurements to the 3mm material offset. In third segment I just used Tol > Distance betweens to generate 3mm measurements in the report. Probably was alot more work then your method, but I am new to this.

How do you assign tolerances during surface analysis process without a program? Can you still use reporting tools?
