I have a lot of experience with the TP2. The Std. Dev. is not be effected by probing force alone. It can also be effected by the weight and length of the probe. A bigger concern is the deflection of the part being inspected. Changed probing force might have a minimal impact on the calibration but it can change your inspection results greatly on a soft or flimsy part.
