I agree with you Viktor, profile is probably the best way to do that. But how does your software evaluate profile?? Mine will not calculate profile of a line and I don't think many do. If I have a profile FCF on a drawing, I will measure several points relative to a theoretical true point at various places from end to end of that feature and then tolerance each point as a single axis true position. I then use my best and worst readings as my range for profile of that feature.
